It always seems like there’s no sun
When someone breaks your heart
It’s like the daylight refuses to show
While your world falls apart
That’s how it seemed when we sat there that day
One resolute, one in fear
She drank her hot chocolate and love drained away

I tried to reach her with the fun of the past
But there was really no use
The sandy beaches, the picture show nights
Were just re-runs of old news

But my coffee grew cold
As I watched the great fall of romance

The day turned a storm cloud grey
I watched in slow motion the waiter appear
